At the helm of The ENT Group Rhinology Department is Dr. Naboth Matinhira. His core passion is to contribute positively in the management of Rhinology patients (children and adults) through diligent clinical practice and engaging in research related to Rhinology and other Ear, Nose, Throat, Head and Neck conditions.
Dr Naboth Matinhirahold holds a Fellowship of the College of Otorhinolaryngology with the College of Medicine South Africa [(FCORL) (SA)] and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees with the University of Zimbabwe [(MBChB)(UZ)] . He completed his fellowship in Rhinology at the Royal Brisbane and Women Hospital in Australia in 2021 to become the first Rhinologist in Zimbabwe.He also has 2 observerships namely
1. Rhinology and Research Fellowship at Yonsei University, South Korea in 2017
2. Rhinology department at Stanford University, United States of America in 2016
A keen educator, Dr. Matinhira is an ENT lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe working at one of the largest teaching hospital in Zimbabwe and he participates actively in the teaching of medical and post graduate students among other clinical and administrative duties. He is competent in carrying out a range of external and endoscopic procedures ENT procedures with key personal strengths which include diligence, respect, Non-Partisanship, empathy, high performance and trustworthiness with the ability to quickly adapt to change of environment. An exceptional surgeon with a wealth of experience.
